What we do:
We engage on specific and systematic issues:
- Considering the issues and potential implications of individual new technologies, in particular – nanotechnology, synthetic biology, and so called ‘converging tech’ (including nano, biotech, information tech, genomics and cognitive science) together with aspects of geoengineering.
- Involvement with issues which arise from particular applications of these technologies, eg the role of nano in food, ethical aspects of specific human enhancements.
- Contributing to debates about the wider systemic issues of responsible innovation, such as governance, safety, public involvement, research and policy.
